LiveCity Vancouver Tips
Welcome to LiveCity Vancouver, the place to be for a free, fun, family-oriented Games-time experience – no tickets required! We’re committed to making a safe, welcoming and environmentally friendly site and welcoming thousands of people. To make sure everyone has a great time, we need your help. Here are some tips, guidelines and yes – some rules - to make everyone’s LiveCity experience great.
Line-Ups: As a free, non-ticketed site, there may be line-ups. Chat with the person beside you; they may be a visitor or your neighbour. We’ll also have our Host City Team in blue jackets there ready to answer any questions.
Security: We all want to feel free to enjoy the sites. This means that we will be taking all prudent steps to ensure the safety of our guests, staff and artists. You’ll go through a quick security check and may be asked to leave some things behind. Once inside you’ll have a great time!
The Environment: We’re planning to divert 85% of our waste from the landfill. To do this we need you to help. Please use the recycling containers provided, reuse your cup, and please – no items that may become litter. And of course, no smoking please!
The Rain: Welcome to Vancouver! Please be prepared – wear rain gear with a hood. If you forget, we have inexpensive rain ponchos available for sale in the shop.
A Word about our Sponsors: The City of Vancouver has been able to make LiveCity Vancouver possible at no cost to our guests with the support from the Government of Canada, our other government partners and our Olympic sponsors. Enjoy their great pavilions and please respect their marketing rights. Without them we would not have this event for all to enjoy.
A Word about our Neighbours: Let’s have fun at LiveCity Vancouver, but when you leave, please be mindful of the noise level and please leave nothing behind on our neighbours’ property.
